Penelope “Penny” Wilson Webb, 62, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2024. Penny entered this world on June 24, 1961, born to the late William H. Wilson and Mae McBane Wilson, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Remaining to cherish Penny’s memory are her husband George F. Webb Jr., and her children Jamie W. Allen (John), George F. Webb III, Chris R. Nezat, Kyle R. Nezat (Rachel), Lawson H. Webb, and Duncan W. Webb. She is the beloved Nana P/Maw Maw Penny to London (Joseph), Sloane, Seth, Sarah, Kylie, Levi, Lily and great grandson, Graham; her mother Mae M. Wilson; sisters Colleen Wilson Chamberlain, Susan W. Fullmer (Darryl), Candace Wilson, numerous nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
Preceding Penny in death are her father, William H. Wilson, and brother-in-law, John Chamberlain, Cabot Webb, and Taylor Webb.
She was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church and served Ascension Parish as a Bus Driver for 14 years until she retired in 2023. Her daily joy were her children on her bus, and the families that trusted her with their little blessings. She loved spending time with her family, going to garage sales and collecting Rae Dunn!
Information on services to honor Penny’s life will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mary Bird Perkins, Baton Rouge General Hospital and Clarity Hospital for their kindness and care.
