Ronald Lee Findley passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 28, 2025. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Lourdes Marie Findley; his sons, Michael Lee Findley and Jack Ryan Findley; his cherished grandchildren, Alidia Nicole Findley, Clarisa Leigh Findley, and Tyler Chance Watts; his sister, Phyllis Ann Green, and her husband, Steve Green; and his brother, Tim Paul Findley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lee Findley and Jessie Bee Findley. Born in Shenandoah, Iowa but raised in Baton Rouge, Ron graduated from Istrouma High School in 1969. He was a talented musician and played for the LSU marching band before proudly serving in the United States Navy for nine years. During his military service, Ron trained as an instrument technician and earned several commendations, as well as receiving a National Defense Service Metal. His expertise led to a successful career working with Perkin Elmer, Beckman, LSU, and Pennington Labs. In his retirement, he enjoyed working and bringing joy to everyone at the Fellowship Center. Ron had a lifelong passion for trains and was an avid model railroader. He enjoyed photographing trains in the field and visiting model railroad clubs with friends. Music, photography, family gatherings, antiques, and cheering on LSU were also among his many joys. A dedicated member of Fellowship Church, Ron found fulfillment in serving his congregation and community. Funeral Services will be held at: Fellowship Church14363 Hwy 73 Prairieville, LA 70769Visitation will be Friday, January 31st at 1:00pm, Memorial Services to follow at 2:00pm.


In lieu of flowers, our family would prefer donations to the Fellowship Church. Ron’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of love and dedication bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
