Krista always welcomed Nathan (Noah's friend) into her home with open arms. Krista and I had met at an ice cream social at East PIkeland Elementary as Nathan and Noah hung out and played together. While we were doing the "mom chat," I found out that Krista's dad was my 7th grade Science teacher at Arcola. We also learned that we were both elementary teachers. and she was a teacher in the school district where I group up. I am so very saddened for the Wagner family and hope and pray for peace for your family.

What can I say, Krista and I met in 1995 and we were BFFs/sisters from that moment until forever. I love how she could calm me with just a look, hug and a prayer in only the way Krista could pray. She opened my eyes to a huge world and I will be forever grateful. Krista has been the wings beneath my wings. I guess it’s time for her to fly. See you soon my friend.💗 I love you Uncle Matt, Aunt Tia, Bella and Clark, Jeffrey and Zachary. I also am amazed to see Krista smile back at me when I look into any one of her beautiful childrens’ eyes. Love you Kenzie, Noah, Jesse and Anika!!!! What a beautiful family, the Hopples and the Wagners. I taught life science with Krista’s Dad Jeff and we became best friends. Our families spent time together as we both enjoyed camping, specifically to the finger lakes of New York including Watkins Glen.. We were devastated when Jeff was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he passed away in 1996. We were shocked to find out that Krista had the same diagnosis 26 years later. .We are still in shock. Our prayers will never end . May the love of family and friends and your treasured memories help to find strength to face each day forward.
