This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Website, preparing and publishing a Funeral Fund, making a Donation, posting comments or memorials on a Funeral Fund Page, or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Website.
  • If you create a Funeral Fund with a Funeral Service Provider that is posted on the Website, we collect the information that you choose to provide us in relation to the Funeral Fund. For example, you can provide us with the Deceased’s name, provide information about the Deceased, upload images, and describe your Funeral Fund’s goals.
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.
  • Our third party payment processors directly collect and maintain information to your withdrawal of funds for any Funeral Fund.
  • Your response to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research or customer satisfaction purposes.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our Website and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial information before making a Donation through the Website.
  • Your search queries on the Website.

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, "posted") on public areas of the Website, or transmitted to other users of the Website or third parties (collectively, "User Contributions"). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • To the Next of Kin if you make a Donation to the Next of Kin’s Deceased’s Funeral Fund and do not choose to make your Donation anonymous.
  • To the Funeral Services Provider if you make a Donation to a Funeral Fund managed by that Funeral Services Provider and do not choose to make your Donation anonymous.
  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of ILOF.com’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by ILOF.com about our Website users is among the assets transferred.
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you give us your name in connection with posting a memory to a Funeral Fund, we will post the memory with your name as author.

For Funeral Service Providers, we cannot delete your personal information without also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

If you delete your User Contributions from the Website, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached or archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Website users.

Links to Other Websites

This Policy applies only to the Website. The Website can contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by ILOF.com (the "Third-Party Sites"), such as the webpages for the Funeral Service Providers. The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third-Party Sites. The links from the Website do not imply that ILOF.com endorses or has reviewed the Third-Party Sites. The Website is hosted in the United States. ILOF.com is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and operates the Website in the United States.
