Mary Alice Josephine Rogers Markiewicz, age 88 of Dallas TX went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Sept 5, 2021. She was born November 28, 1932, in Buckeye, TX (Matagorda County) to Martin Henry Herman and Lula Mae Hagler Herman. She married Manuel Michael Markiewicz on March 3, 1967.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband Manuel Mark Markiewicz. “Absent from the body…present with (Her) Lord”. She is survived by daughter Marilyn Bull and husband Charlie of Leonard, TX, son Bob Rogers and wife Cathy of Mt. Vernon KY, son Ronnie Rogers and wife Denise of Garland TX, son Kevin Rogers of Dallas, TX, son Mark Markiewicz of Sunnyvale, TX, son Dale Markiewicz of Dallas, TX and daughter Lisa Markiewicz Joiner of Victoria TX. Grandchildren include, Chris Sanders and wife Samantha, Brandon Rogers, Peyton Mounce and husband Rick, Daniele Willes, Megan Stewart and husband Brandon, Nathan Markiewicz and wife Leslie. Greatgrandchildren include Dacoda, Jaylee, Jessalynn, Jaci, Cody, Ian, Silas, Jenson, Declan, Savannah, Carsyn, Charly K, Sawyer, Braxton, and Rylan.

Mary laughed, loved and lived every day. She was a devoted member of Family Cathedral in Mesquite TX. Her joy was to care for her home, family and the children of numerous friends. Her parents instilled into her a love for gardening and being with God’s creations. Mary loved traveling, spending time with her numerous family members, the Dallas Cowboys, and of course, country music. Above all she loved serving the Lord and being involved in her church family. Mary has left behind a glorious legacy of love for her children and many friends. She will be deeply missed and forever celebrated.

Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 Sunday, September 12, 2021 at New Hope Funeral Home with Funeral Service held at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow at the New Hope Cemetery. Funeral repast will be held afterwards at 582 N. Collins Rd, Sunnyvale, TX. Please join the family for this celebration of her life.
