In lieu of flowers, family and friends of Alayna Skye Duncan who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these to honor Alayna's life and memory. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
Alayna Skye Duncan, 24, resident of St. Amant LA, went home to be with our Heavenly Father and her son Jayson on Saturday, February 06, 2021. Alayna was a 2014 graduate of St. Amant High School and was a member of the flag team. She was employed as a manager at Casa Maria in Gonzales.
Alayna was one of the most hard-working, independent, strong-willed persons we knew. She lived life 'bouncy', upbeat, and positive about everything. She was a loving mother that worked hard to provide for her family and did it all on her own. She never asked for help because she did not need it nor would she take it. If you knew Alayna, you knew that she did not like taking pictures. You were lucky if you were able to get a photo that did not include funny filters or kissy lips. Alayna was not a girly girl. She did not like makeup. Usually, powder and mascara were her "go to" along with ripped up jeans or comfy pants, along with a t-shirt and a pair of Converse. But no matter what she wore, she looked fabulous! Her favorite color was purple!
Alayna is survived by her daughter, Ariel Marie Moulder (Baby Girl) Her mother Tiffany Duhon and stepfather Brent (BJ) Duhon. Her father Michael Duncan and stepmother Karen Duncan. Her brothers, Braeden Duncan, Draven Duncan, and Journey Duhon. Her sisters, Sonya Duhon, Olivia Duhon, Tabitha Forsythe, and Hayley Miller. Grandparents, Robert and Rhoda Villar, Diane Larabee, Beno and Kathy Duhon, and Allen and Elaine Triche. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Alayna is preceded in death by her son, Jayson Clyde Moulder and grandfather Edward Martin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Saturday February 13, 2021 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church; interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.

Alayna was a close friend of mine in highschool. She was a good person. She always made me laugh & we shared so many happy memories together. Anyone who knew her could say the same. I wish we could've remained as close as we did. I'm praying for her whole family.

Alayna was such a beautiful girl, inside and out. Always had a smile and ready to give hugs. Being Katie's friend, she spent many nights at our house during primary and middle school. We loved her like our own and gave her a nickname, Tough Duck. She loved that name and answered to it when I saw her two weeks ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Rest in peace, Tough Duck, we will miss you.

I did not know Alayna very long. But my grandson, Spencer, loved her. So I loved her. I was looking forward to adding her and her children to the family. Now she is in heaven with Jayson. Both of them are so very missed. My prayers go to them and everyone that loved them. They are forever in my heart.
