We are saddened to announce the passing of Alicia "Hubble" Sanders, who departed this world on December 10, 2024, just shy of her 65th birthday. Alicia was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who brought love and laughter to all who knew her.

Alicia was a talented artist who found joy in painting and making stained glass. She could often be found crafting in her studio, creating masterpieces that brought beauty to the world around her.

She was the beloved daughter of Thomas "Boots" Hubble Sr. and Dolores Hubble. She had two siblings. Brother, Thomas Hubble and sister, Priscilla Dejohn.

Alicia was a loving wife to Gary Dale Sanders, whom she married on the 4th of July in 1988. Together, they raised four children: Coker Brandon Sanders is her only biological child but she opened her loving heart to help raise 3 of Gary's children from his previous marriage as her own. Jennifer "Sanders" McManus, Jacqueline "Sanders" Stubbs, and John David Sanders. She leaves behind one biological grandchild, Malakai James Sanders.

Alicia had a passion for painting and making stained glass, which brought her joy and relaxation. She was open to any creative project to keep her artistic energy flowing. Her creative spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Though her battle with lung cancer was tough, Alicia faced each day with a big un-judgemental heart and determination. She was also stubborn all the way to the end but that's because she knew what she wanted in life. She never lost her wit or infectious laughter, even in the darkest of times.

A service for Alicia will be held at Zoar Baptist Church, Building D (in the back) on what would have been her 65th birthday, December 21st, 2024. Visitation is from 10am till noon with a service at noon. After the service there will be free meals served in the fellowship hall.

Alicia's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear Alicia.
