Carole Ann Egan, beloved Mother & Grandmother, earned her wings to heaven on October 31, 2024. She was born November 1, 1949, in New Orleans and was a resident of Watson, Louisiana.
Carole was an insurance underwriter for 45 years in which she retired. She then moved to Watson, Louisiana to be with her only daughter and family. Her two grandsons, Brandon and Dylan, were her pride and joy. She loved helping at Once-N-Again Children’s Boutique or you could usually find her engaging in friendly competition with Little Maw Maw over a game of cards or dominoes, where she was known for her keen ability to claim victory with grace. She was a devout and active member of Wholly Ground Church, her faith was a testament to her character, and she served her congregation with both humility and fervor. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of comfort to whomever needed it and always placed the well-being of others above her own.
She is survived by her loving daughter Cheryl Means, son-in-law Nathan, and her cherished grandsons, Brandon and Dylan Means, and her best friend, Irma Wilson Shell. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond P. Egan, Sr., and Elaine Marie Buzbee Egan, brother, Raymond P. Egan, Jr.
Carole’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her.
The family cordially invites those who were touched by Carole's life to attend a service in her honor at Wholly Ground Church on November 6, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00am with services starting at 11:00am. I
