A ceremony celebrating the life of Chanse Andrew Metrejean will be held Saturday August 21st at 11:00 at the First United Methodist Church 224 W. Constitution St. Gonzales, La. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with reception to follow. Feel free to wear your LSU attire to the service, Chanse would appreciate that.
Chanse was born February 21, 1988, and grew up in Pierre Part, La and passed from this life on August 14, 2021. He was a current resident of Gonzales and worked as a process technician for Honeywell Chemicals in Geismar, La. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. He was an avid fan of LSU, Star Wars and all things outdoors. Chanse was a loving and devoted husband to the love of his life and a wonderful, nurturing father. If he was your friend, you had a friend for life.
Chanse is survived by his wife, LeAnn, his three children Cam, Owen and Mila. Parents Sandy and Will Foret and Gary Metrejean. Brother Zack (Heather) Metrejean, maternal grandparents Curtis and Sally Breaux, maternal great-grandmother Dora Breaux. Paternal grandmother Vivian Metrejean. Godfather Chuck (Kerrilyn) Breaux and Godmother Lisa St. Germain, cousins Megan Breaux, Godson Carter Breaux, Andrea (Dustin) Foster & Jesslyn Metrejean, nieces Marleigh and Morgan Metrejean. As well as his in-laws David and Lynrae Boylan, Sr, sister’s-in-law Janel (Eric) Swann and Lynda Boylan (Tommy Nuccio), and brother-in-law David Boylan, II.

Chanse and I grew up together, friends
And cousins…we were also born a week apart! he was always the life of the party and we shared so many good times together! Including spending our summers working on my parents turtle farm My heart is so broken for his wife, children and other family during this difficult time. Keeping you in our prayers ❤️

I only met Chanse a couple of times at my Parrain's house with my cousin Chelsea & his son Cam. He was there for our family during a very difficult time. My heart goes out to all of his family & friends.
