Claire E Harris born on Aug. 20, 1924 in the San Francisco Bay Area and has gone to be with her Lord on Dec. 4 2024 at the age of 100. Claire will always be one of the most beautiful souls the Lord has ever welcomed back home. She is survived by Pamela Harris LaFitte of Baton Rouge LA, Michael Harris of Phoenix and wife Lori, Cindy Harris Schwartz of Benton LA and husband Steve, Peter Harris of Marshall TX and wife Trudy and Diane Harris Harris of Spearfish, SD and husband Paul. She has 11 grandchildren: Melissa Schwartz deLaunay, James Schwartz, Stephen Schwartz, Erica Moore, Lauren LaFitte Marschall, Zach Harris, Lindsay Harris Nettles, Daniel Harris, Hayley Harris Fitzgerald and Chase Harris. She also had 15 great grandchildren. Claire was a devout Catholic married to William (Bill) the love of her life for 49+ years. They lived a full life devoted to family, faith & friends. They loved bridge, tennis, dancing and camping. She was a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Claire attended daily mass when able and loved her daily rosary. Claire was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where she met and married Bill Harris where they raised their family. Bill & Claire moved to Shreveport LA in 1970 where they spent 30 years having an amazing life playing bridge, playing tennis, attending their Gourmet Club festivities and living life to the fullest. They then lived in Henderson NV for 15+ years and after Bill’s passing in 1999, Claire spent her last years living in Baton Rouge with her daughter Pam. Claire lived life to the fullest, always smiling & laughing & a friend to everyone.
