Darryl Raoul Robelot passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the age of 63. He was born on October 4, 1960, to the late Walter and Elaine Robelot. He was a native of Metairie, LA and most recently a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Darryl was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.
He was a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School ’78 where he played football and track. He then graduated from University of New Orleans ‘82 with a degree in Biology and completed his education at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans ’87 where his dental school buddies affectionately named him “Tiger”. Darryl practiced dentistry for 30+ years, most of that time in his own private practice. He was an avid LSU fan and enjoyed tailgating and attending all sporting events on campus with his family and friends. Darryl always had a passion for music from Motown to Country, he loved it all.
Darryl is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Susie (Smuck) Robelot; daughters, Jordan and husband Beau Haydel, and Jessi Robelot; brother, Walt and wife Cissie Robelot. He is proceeded in death by his brother Russell Robelot. The family will have a memorial service on Friday, November 3, 2023, at St. Clement of Rome Church in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 11 am, with a mass to follow at noon. The family asks that all friends and relatives that attend wear purple and gold in honor of Darryl.
