Dianne Castay Lambert, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024. Dianne was born June 9, 1945 and was 79 years of age. Dianne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and the Christmas holidays. Dianne's Christmas tree was adorned with beautiful porcelain dolls, Hallmark ornaments and ornaments representing her grandchildren's lives. She enjoyed when people would ask to come inside and see her Christmas tree. To know Dianne, you know she was an overly generous person and loved her family.



Dianne is preceded in death by her loving and dedicated husband of 58 years, Milton George Lambert, her parents Henry Castay, Marion Damonte Chatelain, her sister Beverly Smith (Jerry) and her brother John Castay. Survived by her children Cynthia Lambert Pitre (Ronald), Travis Paul Lambert (Maya Davis), her brother Willis Castay (Terrie), her grandchildren Ronald Charles Pitre III, Kyle Lambert Pitre, Peyton Michael Pitre, Juliana Marie Lambert, Camden Jacob Bellis and many others she considered her grandchildren. Also survived by nieces Susan Smith Olivier (Jon Paul), Crystal Smith Hitt (Charles), nephew Steven Smith and a host of many more nieces and nephews from her husbands side of the family.
