On behalf of the family, we thank you for visiting the campaign memorial page. We appreciate memorials made in their memory. Please also take a moment and share a personal memory that will help them in their grief journey. And on the left side, please share this page via your social media. They will sincerely appreciate it.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends of Don St Romain who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these to honor Don's life and memory through missions that he supported. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
A ceremony celebrating the life of Darnell “Don” St. Romain will be held at Galvez Pentecostal Church on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 2nd from 5 pm to 9 pm at Galvez Pentecostal Church, and again on Saturday starting at 11 am until the funeral service at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Don was born in Marksville, LA on January 23, 1952, and entered into his eternal home with Jesus on July 29, 2024, at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family at home.

A longtime resident of Denham Springs, Don was a devoted, faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and a cherished member of Galvez Pentecostal Church. Throughout his life, he owned and operated several businesses, but one of his most treasured memories was his missionary work in Central America with Friends of the Americas. At the time of his passing, he was the co-owner of James Restaurant in Denham Springs and had recently retired from owning and operating Sewer Treatment Specialist (STS).

Don had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Known for his big personality, he could "own the room" in any conversation, often sharing his beloved “Boudreaux” jokes, discussing politics, and talking about his numerous business ventures. His passion for spreading the message of Jesus and the plan of salvation in Acts 2:38 was evident in all he did. A true entrepreneur, Don was relentless in his work ethic and determination, always ensuring his customers were well taken care of. In his downtime, he enjoyed fishing and, more recently, beach trips, thanks to the insistence of his beloved wife, Lisa.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Moore and Mary Lou St. Romain, and his sister, Amber St. Romain.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 17 years, Lisa Bordelon St. Romain; his children, Danielle Sinclair, Cory St. Romain (Tara), Cody Pollard (Sarah), and Cameron Pollard; his brothers, Chuck St. Romain (Barbara) and Gaynor St. Romain (Jane); and his grandchildren, Kasen, Brody, Lennox, Silas, Ada, Afton, and Ellasyn. Don is also remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, Greg, Tim, David, and Claire, as well as many other family members he dearly loved.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cory St. Romain, Cody Pollard, Cameron Pollard, Kasen Sinclair, Tim St. Romain, and David St. Romain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to honor Don’s life and support missionaries around the world, so the gospel of Jesus Christ can reach everyone.

The family extends special thanks to all who have supported them during this time, including Pastor Bro David Hairford and his wife Kim, their church family at Galvez Pentecostal Church, and the care staff of Gentiva Hospice.
