Jeremy Paul Blouin, age 48, passed away on October 12, 2024, in the comfort of his home in Watson, Louisiana, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. Jeremy was born in Baton Rouge on August 23, 1976, and he grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana. After high school, Jeremy dedicated 24 years of his life as a systems control operator at Demco Electric. He was known for his big, loving heart and his loyalty and commitment to his family and friends. Jeremy loved the LSU tigers, hunting, fishing and hanging with family and friends. Jeremy is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jennifer; their children: Cameron, Amelia, and Evaley; his mother Gloria Curtis; his father Jerry Blouin (Bonni Benton Blouin); his brother Blaine (Tiffany Blouin); his stepbrother, Kyle Robison; his grandparents, Bob and Ruth Abrams; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is proceeded in death by his brother Lance Blouin; paternal grandmother, Rita Joyce Hartman; paternal grandfather, CJ Blouin; his mother in law’s father, William E. Curtis; and his cousins, Shane & Jason Abrams. Visitation will be held at Live Oak Church in Watson, Louisiana, on October 15th, 2024, from 9am to 12pm with his Celebration of Life Service beginning at 12pm, officiated by Dr. Mark Crosby, Pastor John Pemberton and Pastor Stephen Hebert. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Church Cemetery with a reception afterwards in the Family Life Center.
The family would like to thank Jeremy’s Neuro Oncologist, Dr. Caroline Goldin, his Neurosurgeon, Dr. Roger Smith, and Hospice In His Care for their expert and compassionate care during this tough time in Jeremy’s journey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Jeremy’s name to the Glioblastoma Foundation. Geaux Tigers!
