Jonathan Erwin Parker was born August 10, 1937 and passed away October 2, 2024.
J.E. (Johnny) served in the U.S. Navy from 1956–1959.
He married Peggy Dartez in Lafayette, Louisiana and resided there until he began his banking career in Baton Rouge. He worked at Louisiana National Bank (Chase) for 32 years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed every minute of his job at LNB and made several lifelong friends.
Survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters, Pam Nixon (Ricky),
Phyllis Butler (Anthony),
and Sherri Reeves (Mike); five grandchildren,
Bradley Nixon, Troy Nixon(Mandy), Brittany Durand(Aaron), Brennan Butler(Elizabeth), and Chandler Reeves(Kailey); ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Farrow Smith(John).
J.E. was the Sunday School Superintendent at First Pentecostal Church of Baton Rouge for 25 years.

Pallbearers are Bradley Nixon, Troy Nixon, Brennan Butler, Chandler Reeves, and Aaron Durand.
Visitation will take place at First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 3:00PM.
Family interment will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Greenoaks Memorial Park at 10:00AM.
