Our loving and devoted mother of seven (7) children, Marian Margaret Michel Hood,
born August 3,1936 passed away peacefully at home in Gonzles, LA on Sunday
November 5, 2023. She was a dedicated and faithful Catholic and member of St John
church in Prairieville.
She had a long career in Louisiana working since 1967, for Dixie Electric,
Transcontinental Gas Pipeline, Lucketts Photography, and Wolfs Bakery. She retired
from the Louisiana Division of Administration payroll office in 1999.
Even though God called her home, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her
children and their spouses: James (Jimmy) Hood, Margaret Lee, Steve Hood, Terry
Hood, Brian Hood (deceased) wife Kim, Janet Hood, and Jean Hood.
She went out of her way to be there for Her Grandchildren if they needed her: Patrick
Goodman, Christy Tullier, Tabitha Miller (Aaron), Kimbriann Hood and fiancé Landon
Garafola, and James (Jamie) Hood, Brittany Rouse (Lee). Her Great Grandchildren,
Landon Goodman, Cole and Kallie Miller gave her great joy.
Her surviving Brothers and Sisters and their spouses will also cherish her happy
moments: Gary, Murphy (Lynn), Mikel (Gail), Barbara M Bourgeois (Barry), Brenda
Michel Halker.
A wonderful memorial and celebration of life will be announced and held at Holy Rosary
Church in St. Amant in January. For follow up information, link online to Church Funeral
