Patricia “Patti” Funk Hubbs, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the age of 80. Patti was born on August 18, 1944 in New Orleans.
Patti is a 1962 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and a 1966 graduate of Louisiana State University. Worked for several years as an office manager for several doctors in Louisiana and Texas. After a few years in Texas, Patti and her husband, John opened a gift shop in Kemah Texas called Kemah Ketch. Patti also worked for the City of Kemah. Patti was a beautiful happy soul who was finally able to be with the Lord.
After many years of suffering with debilitating health issues. She is survived by her husband of 42 years who has helped her through all her health struggles, John W. Hubbs. Her children, Jay Hodges of Clinton, LA and wife Brandi, Beth Broussard of Baton Rouge, LA and husband David, and Christopher Hubbs of Natchitoches, LA and wife Martha. Grandchildren: Jacob Hodges, John Paul Hodges, Jack Broussard, Katharine Broussard, Sarah Broussard, Hunter Hubbs, Mahalie Kyzar and husband Logan, Erica Hubbs. Great grandchild: Oakley Hubbs. Nieces and nephews: Hilary “Tiger” Vignes Jr., Jean Claude Vignes, Greg Overall, Seth Overall, Ginny Roach, Trish Vinyard, Brandt Hart, Brittney Marionneaux. She is also survived by her two sisters and brother: Suzanne Vignes of Lebanon, Indiana, Mary Overall of Fairhope, AL and husband Hall, and Gerry Funk of Gonzales, LA and wife Gina.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathleen Funk and her daughter-in-law, Jenny Kent Hodges.
Visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am when Mass begins. A graveside burial will be at a later date.
