Susie Hearn went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2024, at the age of 60. Born on February 5, 1964, Susie was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her—a true ray of sunshine, beloved for her warm heart, unwavering faith, and joyful spirit.
A devoted Christian, Susie loved the Lord with all her heart and lived each day as a testament to her faith. She found strength, purpose, and peace in her relationship with God, and her deep faith was evident to everyone who crossed her path. After graduating from Christ for the Nations, Susie followed her calling to serve others by working as a deaf interpreter, using her gifts to bridge communication and connect with countless individuals in a meaningful way. Her dedication and compassion made a lasting impact in the deaf community, and her service was a testament to her love for God and people.
To her family and friends, Susie was an anchor of love and joy, known for her boundless kindness and generosity. She welcomed everyone with open arms, always finding ways to serve and bless those around her. She was a light in dark times, a source of strength, and a joyful reminder of God’s love.
Susie is survived by her beloved mother, Marie Hearn of St. Amant, LA; her sisters, Vera Hearn and Gail Hearn, both of St. Amant, LA; her brother, Charles Hearn and his wife, Kathy, of Gonzales, LA; her nephews, Joshua Winstead of St. Amant, LA, and Jacob Winstead and his wife, Rachel, of Gonzales, LA; and her treasured great-nephews, Benjamin and Asher, and great-nieces, Skye and Rayne. She was preceded in death by her father, Royal Hearn, whom she cherished deeply. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished each moment spent with them, filling their lives with her love, laughter, and faith. A funeral service, officiated by Sandra Mizell, will be held on November 16, 2024 at 11am at Faithful United Methodist Church in St Amant, LA.
May Susie Hearn rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and cherished.
