Romans 8:38–39 (NIV)
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thomas Nathan Midkiff, born on October 22, 2005, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, departed from us tragically on November 8, 2023, at the age of 18. A senior at Denham Springs High School, Thomas accomplished more than 10 ASE automotive certifications from the Livingston Parish Automotive Learning Center. He approached life with genuine passion and a profound love for those in his circle.
Thomas loved the people and things he enjoyed with his whole heart. He loved with an intensity and commitment his friends and family were blessed to enjoy. Whether reveling in the excitement of fast, loud cars, enjoying the company and shenanigans of his friends, or being a committed young family man, Thomas approached life's ups and downs with a unique blend of enthusiasm and wit. His passion for cars extended beyond mere enjoyment; he and his friends spent countless hours upgrading and repairing their vehicles, always striving to make them better, louder, and faster. His approach to friendship made friends for life.
Preceded in death by his Papa Nathan Anker, Grandpa Hardie Midkiff, Uncle Randy Wager, and Cousin Arianna Wager, Thomas is survived by his parents, Hardie and Melissa Midkiff, and his siblings, Alexander, Jonathan, and Sophia, Grandparents, Billie Midkiff, Linda & Kelly Dyer, and Linda Stone. His brand of humor and excitement will be fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A ceremony celebrating the life of Thomas N. Midkiff will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2023, at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, visitation will begin at 11 am until time of service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Thomas left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and determination. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
